Diffuser Comparison Tests
I got tired of underexposure or harsh shadows/light (especially in places of high or no ceilings) in large social indoor events. Not being able to bring large light modifiers to events led me to this desperation(of testing & comparing).

Observe the tell-tale signs, noting especially the shadows and exposure of each image. I've come to the conclusion that the "ikea" method results in the best diffused shadow whilst having the least light loss (as well as providing the most even distribution of light in wide angle shots). It's similar to the Gary Fong Lightsphere but 10x lighter, 1000x cheaper and 10000x less likely to get weird looks from people. Ok, maybe not 1000x cheaper.
Light loss may be recovered by either increasing the flash exposure or by using a combination of the "Better Bounce card" design with the "ikea diffuser" -- adding a white bouncer to the rear of the device, preventing light waste(as u can tell from the reflection in the mirror). I suggest attaching some white reflective tape or a flexible piece of white material(preferably something better than paper), hoping to solve both underexposure and harsh shadows.
*Again, I did not have a real-life model in this moment of frustration. Maybe it's just as well. This model ended up in stitches.
